When Aisleyne came out, i was worried incase Davina would give her a Makosi stylde interview. I dont know why. But Davina was really nice. BB wouldnt be the same without Davina

I don't know? I think she's become completely jaded by the whole thing (no pun intended ) She didn't give Ash a rough ride, and I'm grateful for that, but she just doesn't seem interested enough in the contestants now to ask them the questions we're dying to know the answers to. Having said that it's difficult to picture anyone else in the role.

Well Davina is one of those loud types as a rule and she has a very big personality. But, Davina has been pregnant the last two rounds of Big Brother if I am not mistaken and to be honest I dont know how she even HAD the energy to think let alone get involved with all the technical side and having to remember certain questions etc. In her place I would have just sat there looking spaced... I think Davina is fine for the programme, but NOT pregnant. A pregnant woman really does run out of steam in those last few months and to be perfectly honest..it must have taken a lot out of Davina. I also heard recently that she has a drink problem and has been attending AA I hope I am wrong about that...but if not...the stress of life must be great on her right now...perhaps a break would do her good, who knows. Personally I do like Davina on Big Brother as she suits the programme, but if we had to have a change of face, I think I would rather like to see Zoe Ball. She has a fabulously funny, lively and really lovely personality..shes been on radio so she knows how to make a conversation flow and how to shoot from the hip. Yep she would be my choice if Davina stepped down.

Seeing as this thread has suddenly become popular again, I've moved it back into the Big Brother board. Anyway, I don't like Davina much at all. She comes across to me as rather smug and uncaring. They should stick her in the house during CBB and see how she likes it.

I have just opted for "She's OK, I guess".
Couldn't bring myself to say I love her. However, she is very much a part of BB in the UK. On the whole, HM seem to look forward to their Davina interview, presumably because she doesn't normally ask difficult questions. I say "normally" because, there have been occasions when she has allowed her prejudice to show through. However, on the whole, I think she does a good job by being a friendly figure. This allows her to ask questions of the HMs without them going on the defensive. If you had someone like Jermy Paxman doing the interviews, the HMs would be even more fearful of the eviction process. How many times do we hear HMs say to each other "Don't worry Davina will look after you"?
I think she does a good job. Sometimes I don't like the way she does things and recently I feel she could have done more preparation. However, it is a live show, she has been pregnant, etc.
So, I'm prepared to stick with Davina. It's Dermott that does my head in!

I don't like her at all - her treatment of Ash during BB7 was puzzling to say the least. For example - when the ex-housemates returned - "Did you see Aisleyne's face?" in a nasty tone. Yes Davina, she was shocked like everyone else then immediately happy! Then in a later episode of BBLB she said that Ash was unhappy about the twist and shouldn't have brought up Watergate on Grace's birthday. The interviews of Makosi and Susie were horrible and I'd like to see someone else fronting the show. I think the only reason that Ash didn't get a nasty interview was that she had picked up so much support by the end of the series.

Sometimes i dont know what to think of her, she did made a couple of comments about Ash that annoyed me. But i think Davina chnaged her mind about Ash too and relaly respected her on the final I just dont think BB would be the same without Davina

I'm just tired of Davina. She seems to have lost all interest a few series ago. I would say that she stopped watching after BB4 & it shows as she is seldom really on-top of events ... & that's with the help of notes.
As for the often expressed view that BB wouldn't be the same without Davina. I really think that is not the case. If she were popular, her chat-swhow wouldn't have flopped so spectacularly. People watch BB because they like the show, not because of davina.
It's time for Davina & her tired old cheesey act to go.
Replacement? Vanessa Feltz.

Yeah, she wa sos nasty to Makosi and Susue, it was really unfair. Personally I don't think it's possible to be too nasty to Makosi. She's my most disliked housemate by a mile. Grace and Nikki are positive angels in comparision The main reason Makosi's interview turned out so bad was because she was so arrogant and unrepentant even when her misdeeds were pointed out to her. The public turned on her, not Davina. Susie's interview was bad but we don't know if it was Davina's idea. Clearly the production team had come up with the whole Devil montage before the interview even began. The main criticism of Susie was her blandness so Davina had to bring it up but it was a stupid criticism in Susie's case because she went in as the winner of a prize. Unlike the others she didn't go in after having been auditioned for entertainment value and was under no obligation to provide it. As a human being Davina can't help having an opinion but there is always a danger that if you let that opinion show you alienate those who don't share it. I think it's only right that she brings up as many of the criticism levelled against the housemates so that we can see what they've got to say for themselves. It doesn't mean she agrees with the criticisms but I think most people would be disappointed if the housemates weren't given a chance to answer them. Having said that I think she was definitely in the camp that didn't believe Aisleyne's tears over evicting Jonathan, over nominations or over Imogen's leaving (I was really annoyed when she laughed at Aisleyne's reaction to Imogen going). I don't know if she changed her mind by the end but I doubt it. Still, not everyone can be as perceptive and discerning as us Ash fans ;D Regards Julian

I would say that she stopped watching after BB4 & it shows as she is seldom really on-top of events ... & that's with the help of notes. Yeah, she made quite a few odd blunders this year, e.g. referring to housemates that weren't in the house (and never had been!), and that time when she had to pull her notes out when introducing the next segment because she'd forgotten what was going to happen.
