It's a pity we didn't know about this poll earlier. We could've voted and got her a higher ranking. But it's good she managed to get into the top five without any help from us.

Good to see Ais flying high in this poll.

I think we have to remember that Pete was actually highly amusing and very watchable to some. Also he is probably a teenage dream to some girls..hes very good looking you know! so I am not surprised to see him on this list or in that position because very young girls are gonna put him there.. a little bit like..stands to reason.

Where Ais is concerned though, considering people were extremely nasty and unfair to her it is more than excellent to see her up there in the top five.

Aisleyne will be remembered for the right reasons.

Why do we remember Jade Goody? Can anyone remember? I can! It was because she came across as unbelievably stupid..and her lack of ladylike manners along with her 'minging' this that and the other took everyone by surprise..or shock if you like. I just could,nt believe the cheek of Jade and because of that...she made me laugh. Its a bad way to be remembered though is,nt it? She did,nt even know the most simplest Geography or have the slightest idea about world affairs or even normal general down to earth ordinary information. (bear in mind despite what she has done since...I am talking about the JADE we all saw...at the time)

When you look down that list again...think about WHAT these people are remembered for.

When you come to Aisleyne you will recall that this girl was treated in an incredibly bad way by BB itself and the press. The idea that was put out to the public about her was one of dismissive ridicule. People rushed to try and dig up all sorts of tripe on her and would not accept her ability to have a down to earth naturally prismatic personality. She was beautiful, savvy and sassy and absolutely EVERYTHING that the girls in the house did NOT want at the time of her arriving. The girls in the house had already decided between themselves their pecking order so Aisleyne came in as an enormous shock to their vanity systems.

So dont forget when you look at this list WHAT makes them be on it in the first place.

The person who had the real DIGNITY, the real GUTS and the real STRENGTH of character was.....AISLEYNE. She may only be at No five on this list, but her personal achievement is much higher than any list could ever portray.

Just as a PS. Pete, Kate and Craig were all the WINNERS of BB. Jade as per my opinion above.

Aisleyne then is listed with three WINNERS and Jade who is in my opinion quite overated but generally just a funny girl.

I think this puts forward a very interesting picture does it not?

Yes, odm and the more I think about this one, the more interesting it becomes.

Without knowing how these votes were gathered, I shouldn't really make assumptions, but ignorance of the facts has never stopped me before so......

I take it that this is a poll of Daily Star readers rather than BB buffs and fans of particular HMs like ourselves or Nikkimaniacs, right? Hence, as odm says, the predominance of present and past winners (Pete, Kate, Craig) and the uniquely famous Jade.

As far as I know, "we" Aisleyne fans in TA, OA, Fakers whatever don't appear to have been alerted to do a "bloc-vote" during the voting process (neither thankfully were the bleeding finger bunch). Yet there's Aisleyne as the 5th name in this list. Amazing! ;D

This suggests to me that Aisleyne has built a large NEW fanbase among Daily Star readers, quite distinct from us "usual suspects", and these are the ones who have voted her into this elite group. This would be an excellent development, if true.

You can add me to that list

BB3 was the first BB I watched and the first time my favourite actually won. Michelle Bass was the first fan forum I joined but that was because Kate didn't have one. I still counted Kate as my overall favourite.

Saskia probably overtook her by the time BB6 came along and Aisleyne is now my all time favourite but Kate is still up there (and still around).
