Sorry to hear that does he usually forget? Why don't you consider booking a restuarant with a few friends on the run up to your birthday, with your dad and nan included of course. It's sad, I hope things are well between you both but I won't pry.

Parents can sometimes be disappointing I know and they dont always realise how sensitive we can be ourselves. Like you, I just chin up and get on with things.
