Oh no. I really wish I hadn't read that article. I've stopped at the third paragraph and wont read any further. Ais you are worth so much more than this. Rebecca Loos is definitely the wrong kind of influence you want in your life. Don't sell yourself for fame and fortune darling. You already have those.

Odm (and mich and others), I'm very much in sympathy with what you say as I hope my "Dear Aisleyne" post above shows.
However I don't believe the male fan/female fan distinction is anything like as clear-cut as you imply, especially among the core of male supporters on the forums. I am certain that most of these male fans are quite as anxious as any female fan to see Aisleyne doing much more than the glamour stuff, and would quite sincerely prefer to see more fashion pics, and hear about other things than her sex life etc etc.
Of course Aisleyne is a very sexy and beautiful woman, who clearly enjoys doing glamour work, and who thoroughly deserves to be in the top rank of glamour models, and it's very easy to pay sincere tribute to her Nuts pics etc.in the appropriate manner. And it seems that Nuts, the Star and the Sport reckon that "the lads" have gone for Ash in a big way, though I am still of the view that Aisleyne has a unique photogenic quality (clothed or unclothed) which is rather wasted on "the lads" - like a fine wine would be wasted on the alcopop generation.
I would also be surprised and disappointed if anyone, male or female, has "deserted" Aisleyne because of her glamour work, because she has shown that she CAN do other things, and do them superbly.
I'm looking forward to seeing all kinds of new developments in Aisleyne's career during 2007, so everyone can see that she is much more than (as Orange put it) "2006's glamour girl extraordinaire".

It really depends, if what we have seen in the News of the World and Nuts is going to be a regular thing, it is inevitable that some may go then again she will probably drawer more fans from Nuts etc... What you have to remember is that the Ash we fell in love with in BB7, is not necessary the Ash we are seeing now (well not how she is being portrayed in the media, well we knew about her sex appeal but it is being played upon x 10 by the media IMO) . (Probably a strategy to keep her in the public eye) Normally I wouldn't join a website for someone who has one out of the BB house but I have clung on because I feel that justice still hasn't been done. We have been lead to believe that Ash will be doing radio and something big no word yet, for the time being it seems she is being promoted as a pin up for the Lads mags. No surprises there but I wouldn't join a Glamour Models website you get me, it's just not the sort of stuff I support I am also not that way inclined and I am just not comfortable with it; however each and everyone to their own. I remain here for the time being to see what early 2007 holds for Ash. Finally I just like to say I have supported Ash by buying Closer and I have bought More when she has interviews. I have bought the Daily Star on a few occaisions as well, along with a few other publications she has been featured in.

Some people are taking this article a bit too seriously. The "facts" in this article are very dubious indeed. Even the headline doesn't make sense, she's been out of the BB house for four months and yet has had a "six month sex marathon".

Blimey Ash, 15 times in one night sounds more like a punishment for your bloke! There can't be many men who could cope with that.

A couple of facts, a couple of half truths and a bit of imagination by a lazy journalist. I was disappointed to read this article and hope my take is right because this is not the route I want Aisleyne to take.

Even the headline doesn't make sense, she's been out of the BB house for four months and yet has had a "six month sex marathon". I am sure that what you say is right, maringo. I think though that the response to this article is not just about what's said in this article, if you see what I mean. I think some of the views expressed by a number of FMs about this item are a symptom of a deeper sense of unease about what we are hearing and more particularly NOT hearing about Aisleyne. Of course we don't have any "right" to know ANYTHING about Aisleyne's personal life, state of mind, career plans etc. However, when we hear in such graphic detail about the most intimate aspects of her life (albeit hyped-up and sensationalised by NOTW or Nuts), things I'd frankly rather not know thanks, then that kind of gives us a "license to expect" to hear more about the other aspects of her life, the things that really matter to us. Is Aisleyne happy? Who IS this boyfriend? Is he a nice caring guy, with more than just his stamina to recommend him? When will we finally get to hear what's in the "pipeline"? Etc etc. Many of us got hooked on Aisleyne during BB7 despite rather than because of her glamour girl attributes. It was Aisleyne HERSELF with all her strengths and vulnerabilities, charming, captivating, infuriating, paradoxical, quite simply UNIQUE among any housemate or reality show contestant EVER, that got us to where we are now. OK, give "the lads" what they want - but we, the longtime loyal fans want much better things for Aisleyne and to hear better things about her too. She's worth it!

I agree with a lot of what you say ofni. This is not the Aisleyne from BB7 we got to love and know at all. She's a great girl and we love her for who she is. She is not a Michelle Bass. I'm sure of it.

I agree - I'd love to see Ash doing TV or radio (I hope the radio show is still going ahead???), but she can only work with what she's been offered. I'd prefer it if she didn't JUST go down the glamour route, because that's not why I loved her in BB7 & supported her more than any other housemate. But if she does choose to go down that route I will still support her and wish her well.

I'm sure of it. Michelle Bass is not a Michelle Bass by that token This is serious deja-vu for me because, as a Michelle Bass fan I've heard all the same arguments and concerns before. As fans we grew to love Michelle for who she was on BB, hoping to see more of her on TV or more of the upmarket and romantic photo-shoots in OK magazine etc. When it became clear that she was pursuing a glamour career there were a lot of people who found it hard to continue their support, a lot of people worried that it would fuel the haters or prevent her from finding other work. We're several years on from that now, most of her fans stayed loyal and Michelle is still going strong and we're hearing exciting things are in the pipeline so I have every expectation that Aisleyne can do at least as well. Ofni's right, though. I didn't become a fan of Aisleyne because of her looks or her tendency to wear thongs a lot and I don't think that many of the 'lads' who are only interested in such things would bother to join a fan forum. Obviously, as a guy I can enjoy her appearances in Nuts more than her female fans but it's her personality that really impressed me and I'd much rather have an opportunity to see more of her personality than more glamour shoots. On the other hand, what I want most for Aisleyne is success and if that comes from the world of Glamour modelling then that's fine by me, as long as she's happy Regards Julian

Hi All,
Just been reading your posts re. NOTW. Its pretty normal when buying glamour type shots that the paper want a few comments to go alongside& turn it into more of a feature. Different publications know what their readers want to hear and therefore tailor the comments towards that. Pretty innocent flyaway comments can result in 'The truth about my sex life' type exposes!! Am sure Ash will let you all know her exact words will alert her to the general reaction!

Hi Claire!
Happy New Year to you, and it's really great to see you visiting and posting on the forum. I know you recognise the importance of understanding how we fans feel about Aisleyne, and the reasons why we have posted the way we have on this thread as much as on the others. Clearly the more we can hear from Ash herself, or at least from you on her behalf, the less we will be "spooked" or misled by stuff we read in the tabloids.
Regards
ofni

Even the headline doesn't make sense, she's been out of the BB house for four months and yet has had a "six month sex marathon". Well, now we know why during the live feed the camera would switch to a static shot of the pool for minutes on end. ;D

I too agree with some that we shouldn't go overboard about this - it isn't as though Ais has sold her soul to the devil. There is undoubtadly a "lads / Sun readers" market which Ais has to exploit by appearing "fruity", but that doesn't in itself define her or her future direction. As the Michelle Bass fan said, the same things happened with her (and to an even greater extent Sam Heuston from BB6 who at times has shown incredibly poor judgement, but has still come out "the other side"). Don't give up on Ais - she has a remarkable way of surprising us when we perhaps least expect it.

I agree with the "some people are taking this article too seriously" line advocated by Maringo (which is probably just as well! ). I was getting a bit bored of the chocolate sauce gag, so the "I need it fifteen times a night" angle makes a refreshing change. I wonder how many times we'll see that recycled in the tabloids! Not that I believe it for a second Ash. I can't believe there's a man alive who could provide that level of service, although a few may have died trying!

The pictures that accompanied the NOTW article have tended to be overlooked, but I think the one that's been added to the website is stunning. ;D
